Case Study Report

😻 My case of the day 😻 Even though we're a first opinion practice, we are also a 24/7 Hospital and have lots of other practices that feed into us for out of hours patient care We regularly get dental Referrals from other practices due to our state of the art technology and most importantly that we have dental radiography This patient was referred to us to assess the extent of the gingival recession over 104 and 204. As you can see from the images the extent of the recession was quite severe, indicating that extractions were required Even though this patient only had the canines present, it was still important for us to perform full mouth dental radiographs to assess any possibility of root remnants under the gumline (we had no previous history of dental work) My veterinary surgeon performed surgical extractions, whilst I monitored the anaesthetic and made sure my patient was warm and safe under general anaesthesia No matter what I'm doing with a dental patient I always make sure that we go above and beyond for patient care and I teach my vets how to place dental nerve blocks so that they can be as comfortable as possible whilst extractions are being performed Happy patient = a happy nurse 😻
